Future Foundations is launching into 2008 with a special Sparkle Networking event hosted by NESTA.

What is Sparkle?

The Sparkle Network is a peer support network for people in the early stages of their career.

It is an opportunity to make connections with other young people whilst socialising in a friendly and welcoming environment. The idea behind Sparkle is simple - get people in touch, encourage them to have good quality conversations, and with an open mind there are ways in which we can help each other out.

Whether you're just starting out, or established in what you're doing, changing direction, getting something off the ground, or coming to the end of your study, the Sparkle community is a great place to learn, share and have some fun.

Why is NESTA hosting Sparkle?

This event will combine the regular Sparkle networking opportunity with members of NESTA's networks who are interested in the views of ambitious 20 to 30 year olds, on the broad topic of how best to prepare young people for an unknow but rapidly changing future.

NESTA will be publishing a series of online essays from late February/early March, plus encouraging debate on its blog, and they would like to ensure the views of a wide range of audiences are represented.
